Afternoon treat
I had a reason to go to another floor today. It was exciting. I got to talk with someone and move around. My floor is so noisy. I'm right next to the construction. The temporary wall that divides me from the construction is coming down on Monday. A plastic sheet will be up instead.

Public transportation
I took the train and subway to work! It was fun. I read a book during the ride. It took about the same amount of time as driving.

Fire alarm
First off, the shrill alarm sound freaked me out, but second, I realized I'm 27 floors from the ground. This was not a drill, so I was a little anxious about the situation. Apparently you are supposed to walk down 5 floors and stop. We do not go to the ground floor. An announcement said there was a situation on floor 27. My floor!
10 minutes later we went back up. There is construction on my floor (I sit right next to the door leading to it) and something related to that set off the alarm.
Exciting afternoon!

Success!
My lunch went really well. My new friend is also a musician. I inspired her to consider piano lessons. She also sings and said we could collaborate on a song some time. She just moved here from NYC. She's excited to get back into her interests. She said in NYC all they did was drink.

Lunch date!
A girl who was hired the same day as me just called. She wants to eat lunch with me today in the lunch room! I won't be eating at my desk today. Yay!

One on one
I have a weekly one on one meeting with my manager. That's the only time I see him. It's so different from my previous job. He heard some good feedback from others about me so that made me feel more confident.

Yes you can
Traffic accidents or road construction are good examples of how a little problem or reckless person can make such a difference in the commute time for hundreds of people.
Yes, you can make a difference in people's lives. Thank you for making me 25 minutes late to work.

Wow!
This morning I thought of a blog post, but didn't want to wait to get home to post it. I then realized my superhero phone must have capabilities. So here I am!
